Description
Developed in the early 1800s by early childhood education pioneer Friedrich Fröebel, the Fröebel Gifts ("gabe" in German) are a series of simple toys and exercises which focus on geometric forms, colours and creativity. Gift 5B consists of a variety of natural wood cubes, triangular prisms, half-cylinders and curved blocks, with forty-four pieces in all. The pieces can be assembled together into a variety of forms and structures, and the set is intended to encourage free play and exploration. The set comes in a wooden slide-top box for storage.
