Place Value Working Mat

Based on the standard Montessori colours of green for units, blue for tens, red for hundreds, and green for thousands, this durable mat makes an excellent work surface for use with bead materials, number tablets, and number cards (all sold separately) to further reinforce the idea that each set of numbers is a collection of the previous set. The mat is made of a durable polyester twill fabric that is machine-washable, and it has been heat-cut so that the edges are sealed to prevent fraying. The mat measures 86 x 69 cm (about 34" x 27"), and can be easily folded up for storage.
